Man Arrested for Knifepoint Rape in Queens Home, Cops Say

QUEENS — Police say they arrested a man for raping a woman at knifepoint in Queens early Wednesday.

Cops say Andres Santana, 30, broke into a residence in the 114th Precinct, which covers Astoria, and parts of Long Island City, Wooside and Jackson Heights, around 3:50 a.m. and allegedly raped a 22-year-old woman.

A knife was used in the attack, according to the NYPD.

Santana is facing charges of rape, burglary, criminal mischief, menacing and criminal sex act, police said.
