GRAMERCY — Buy a mimosa — and get some free breakfast to sop up the booze.

Crocodile Lounge recently launched a Sunday brunch deal offering free omelets to anyone who buys a $5 mimosa or bloody mary.

“The win for us is that if you’re drinking and you get food in your stomach, you’re probably going to drink more,” said Patrick Kelly, general manager of the 325 E. 14th St. bar

Crocodile Lounge has long been popular for giving away personal pizzas seven days a week with every beer or well drink purchase. But it wasn't until June — when business got slower after NYU students left for the summer — that the bar decided to do the same for omelets on Sunday afternoons, as a way of driving more weekend traffic to the bar.

“Right now it’s kind of a pilot program,” Kelly said. “I think it can get popular with students. It’s perfect for waking up on a Sunday with a hangover.”

The protocol is the same as it is for the pizza: Customers order their drinks at the bar, and for each mimosa or bloody mary, they are given a ticket that can be exchanged for a free two-egg omelet at a separate omelet station in the back, Kelly said.

The omelet special is only available on Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. Additional toppings — including bacon, mushrooms and other veggies — can be added for $1 apiece.

“It’s drinking and dining on a budget,” Kelly said.
