A new movie trailer for actor John Turturro's forthcoming 'Fading Gigolo' movie about a prostitute who takes on a Hasidic woman client, features scenes shot inside an Orthodox Jewish-owned home on President Street.
As DNAinfo first reported last fall, the Hollywood powerhouses fell in love with the house on President Street after scouting several others in search of a "particularly Jewish-looking home," according to insiders.
Still, they tried to conceal the true subject from neighbors, dubbing the film the "Untitled John Turturro Project" on signs throughout the Hasidic neighborhood all through filming.
The crew had been careful to shield the community's curiosity seekers from the true nature of the film, which stars Turturro as a reluctant male prostitute and Woody Allen as his over-eager pimp.
The movie will screen at the Toronto Film Festival.
