RED HOOK — There’s smoke on the water in Red Hook.

Nat Sherman, a Manhattan tobacco company, is bringing premium cigars, cigarettes and accessories to their first shop in Brooklyn.

For three months, beginning officially Aug. 1, the Red Hook pop-up shop will be selling a range of their all-natural cigars and cigarettes, which bear the signature “Nat Sherman” name, said Matt Sniegoski, a tobacconist at Nat Sherman who manages the Brooklyn location.

The Brooklyn shop, housed at 220 Conover St., will share a building (and partnership) with Cacao Prieto and Widow Jane Whiskey, adding premium smoking products to the Red Hook waterfront building, where artisanal chocolates, liqueurs and small-batch whiskey are already crafted.

And if you’re unfamiliar with their products, Sniegoski will help customers find the smoke that suits them best, he said, from mild to light and sweet or strong.

“I think we really do have something for everyone,” he said.

The high-end tobacco company is also teaming up with “Botanica,” a bar with an outdoor smoking area in the same brick building, to create a cocktail-cigar pairing menu.

Sniegoski believes that there are few places in South Brooklyn, particularly in Red Hook, where smokers can find a select brand of cigars and cigarettes, he said.

Nat Sherman, whose flagship store is found in a Manhattan townhouse, will sell cigarette packs priced at about $12.50 to $14.50 and cigars ranging between $6 and $10, said Sniegoski, who added that they also carry the “Timeless Collection" that was voted No. 10 in Cigar Aficionado’s 2012 “Best Cigars of the Year.”

Along with the tobacco products, smoking accessories like lighters, cutters and humidors are also available at the shop.

The Nat Sherman Brooklyn pop-up shop will be open from noon to 10:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday.
