BROOKLYN — A woman was violently robbed as she left her home near Coney Island during the predawn hours last week, cops said.

The 63-year-old woman had just walked out of her home about 4 a.m. when a man came up behind and grabbed her in a choke hold, according to the NYPD.

He then snatched her pocketbook and cellphone, police said.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect running off after the attack.

The woman was not injured, a police spokesman said.

Cops believe the suspect weighs about 160 pounds and stands 5-foot-7.

The robbery took place in the 60th Precinct, which covers Coney Island, Brighton Beach and Sea Gate.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
