CLIFTON — Police have arrested and charged a Bronx man with the murder of a Staten Island man outside a Park Hill Avenue home earlier this month.

On Tuesday, police arrested and charged Christopher Wells, 30, from The Bronx, for the July 20 murder of Victorious Briggs, 22, outside 225 Park Hill Ave.

Wells allegedly shot Briggs, of Stapleton, several times on July 20 at 4:34 a.m. Another 26-year-old woman was shot twice in the right and left hip, cops said.

They both were taken to Staten Island University Hospital, where Briggs was pronounced dead on arrival. The woman was in stable condition.

Police told the Staten Island Advance that Briggs had a gun in his waistband, which one of his friends grabbed after Briggs fell and fired back, hitting the woman.

Wells, who raps under the name “Why-Z,” has been arrested 12 times before Monday, mostly for criminal trespass or drug possession, the Advance reported.

He was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal use of a firearm. He will be arraigned on Thursday, according to the paper.
