WILLIAMSBURG — The local culinary pioneer was known and loved by the chefs, bar owners, and foodies of Williamsburg — and now that community is joining to honor Colin Devlin just down the street from his acclaimed eatery, days after his tragic death in rural Pennsylvania.

The bar Union Pool is hosting a celebration remembering Devlin — the owner of Dumont Restaurant, Dumont Burger, and the recently closed gourmet spot Dressler — Monday night, local establishments announced on Facebook.

"This will be a chance to mourn the passing of a dear friend and colleague while coming together to support each other in this difficult time," the bar Hotel Delmano wrote. "We will meet at 9 p.m. in the back venue of Union Pool. Friends are welcome to say words, share memories or simply be together."
