NEW YORK CITY — A father of a 3-year-old girl with another on the way was shot and killed inside the lobby of a Fordham apartment building Monday night, cops and relatives said.

Raymond Martinez, 22, was shot in the chest within 2860 Grand Concourse, near East 198th Street, just before 10 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Martinez, who lived about a block from the shooting scene, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Girlfriend Rosa Flores, 18, was raising a daughter with Martinez and is also three months pregnant with his second child, she said.

''He was a nice father. He would talk about his daughter a lot. He would say, 'I love you' a lot to her," Flores said, choking back tears.

“He was a very nice person. He took good care of his daughter and girlfriend," said Mary, a neighbor who asked to only be identified by her first name.

“He didn’t bother nobody. He would just sit out here and joke around with us," she added.

There were no arrests by Tuesday afternoon, police said. Police were still investigating what sparked the shooting.
