FLATIRON — Popular American brasserie The Smith will open its fourth location north of Madison Square Park next fall, the restaurant announced Wednesday.
The restaurant will be opening with an expansive bar, two private dining rooms and a large raw bar at 1150 Broadway, near 27th Street, said a spokeswoman for the restaurant.
“This exciting area is developing rapidly with more apartments and hotels announced every day and hundreds of companies already present,” said the restaurant's managing partner, Jeffrey Lefcourt, in a statement.
“[North of Madison Square Park] is in need of a neighborhood restaurant like The Smith — a local spot that is geared towards the people who work and live nearby.”
The new 14,000-square-foot location will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch beginning sometime in the fall of 2014, said the spokeswoman.
The Smith currently has outposts in the East Village, Lincoln Center and Midtown East.
Although a menu hasn't been set, the offerings will be similar to its other locations and include a variety of bar snacks, salads, steaks and main entrees such as mussels, chicken pot pie and roasted flounder.
