NEW YORK CITY — A fire in a Kingsbridge Heights building quickly spread from one apartment to the next while more than 100 firefighters tried to extinguish it Tuesday morning, the FDNY said.
The blaze erupted about 7:30 a.m. in the sixth floor of 3840 Orloff Ave. and spread to nearby apartments, according to an FDNY spokesman.
More than 100 firefighters brought the blaze under control about 8:30 a.m. and no injuries were immediately reported, the spokesman added.
