Mobile Legal Help Center Heads to Staten Island

MARINERS HARBOR — A mobile legal help center will come to Mariners Harbor later this month to provide free legal assistance to residents.

The center will be in front of the Arlington Terrace Houses, at 55 Holland Ave., on July 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, and is sponsored by Councilwoman Debi Rose’s office.

Free legal assistance will be given to people about family law issues including divorces, child custody and domestic violence; housing issues including eviction prevention and unsafe housing; and public benefits including food stamps and social security disability insurance.

The centers are run by the New York Legal Assistance Group and the New York State Courts’ Access to Justice program.
