QUEENS — Forest Hills cops are hunting for armed muggers who robbed residents at gunpoint striking twice in five days, authorities said.

The first robbery in the neighborhood occurred last Saturday, on June 29, around midnight, on Slocum Crescent in Forest Hills Gardens, as three women arrived home after having dinner at an Austin Street restaurant.

Two men approached them, showed a gun and stole jewelry, money and cell phones, cops said.

Earlier this week, police released a sketch of one of the suspects who cops said is responsible for the mugging.

The second robbery occurred at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at the intersection of 70th Avenue and Fleet Street. Two men who had been in a white vehicle threatened a 66-year man with a knife and a gun. They took his backpack which contained his cell phone and car keys, cops said.

In addition to the two gunpoint muggings, there was also a robbery in which two women brandished a knife and robbed a 51-year old man at 63rd Avenue and Alderton Street in Rego Park. The mugging took place about 12:40 a.m. on July 2.

The suspects, described as women who were about 20-years old, took away the victim’s gym bag which contained his credit cards, cell phone and $150, cops said. The suspects also drove away in a white car.

No injuries were reported during the muggings, cops said.
