MELROSE — Cops arrested a pair of patriotic pyromaniacs after finding $1,600 worth of fireworks in a Bronx home on the eve of Independence Day, police said.

The NYPD's Intelligence Division tracked the duo down to 760 Tinton Ave. on Wednesday afternoon after finding the pair advertising their fireworks on Craigslist.

The arrests were part of a live NYPD crackdown in advance of the Fourth of July holiday. So far, cops have made 46 seizures, resulting in 65 arrests, cops said.

Cops also seized five vehicles used to transport the fireworks to the city from out of state.

In all, police found the fireworks in thirteen of the incidents at vehicle checkpoints, with the other arrests coming from buy operations like the one in the Bronx, as well as the execution of search warrants.
