SOUTH JAMAICA — A woman's decomposed body was found in a wooded area off the Van Wyck Expressway Friday night, police said.
The woman was not identified immediately, and was discovered by police at 9:25 p.m. in an area off the Van Wyck near South Conduit Avenue, police said.
Rescuers determined the woman was dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing, and the city Medical Examiner will determine the woman's cause of death, police said.
