COBBLE HILL — The Smith Street Fair is back, this weekend, bringing live music, shopping and of course, your favorite eateriers out to the street for the annual festival.
Stretching from Bergen to Union Streets, the fair will feature more than 50 businesses, most being local to Smith Street, said Bette Stoltz, director of the South Brooklyn Local Development Corporation, who is organizing the event.
The "Sunday Funday," scheduled for June 23 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., will bring out stores like By Brooklyn, Bejeweled, Stinky Bklyn and La Casita Yarn Shop Cafe, along with live music from BOCOCA Arts at Ceol Pub and a salsa band from Tony's Hardware, among others.
And food lovers won't be disappointed as restaurants like Coco Roco, Char No. 4, Arthur on Smith, The Kittery, and others, set up shop for the fair.
"We're a big foodie street," said Stoltz.
The development corporation, that represents retail businesses on Smith Street, has been organizing the fair for over a decade, she said.
Fans of the fest can also look out for other upcoming events like the neighborhood's Bastille Day celebrations on July 14 and the local "Soup Festival" on Oct. 19.
