MANHATTAN — Maintenance work on a natural gas pipeline in West Harlem could lend a pungent aroma to the air Monday, authorities said.

The scheduled repair work to a pipeline at West 134th Street near the Hudson River may cause some residents in the neighborhood to smell a "spice odor," according to the Office of Emergency Management.

The repairs were scheduled to take place between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., the agency said.
