MANHATTAN — The MTA temporarily suspended N, Q, and R trains in Midtown after getting a report of a suspicious package in the Times Square subway station Thursday, a spokesman said.
The call came in a little after 9 a.m. and the MTA suspended the trains in both directions from 34th Street to 57th Street, an MTA spokesman said.
The NYPD found a suitcase containing personal items and notified the MTA which resumed normal service through the area about 10:30 a.m., police and MTA officials said.
