LOWER EAST SIDE — A group of investors paid $62 million to buy 11 buildings on the Bowery, the realty firm Massey Knakal announced this week.

The buildings between Canal and Houston streets, which had been family-owned since the 1930s, were sold to a group led by Joseph Betesh of Milestone Equities.

The 11 buildings include 83, 85, 88, 103, 105, 219, 221, 262, 276, 280 and 284 Bowery, Massey Knakal said. Many have shops and restaurants on the ground floor, including Keith McNally's Pulino's. The buildings' air rights were included in the sale as well.

Massey Knakal identified the seller only as a family trust.

“The clients were ecstatic to sell at a time when real estate values and upside potential are at their greatest,” John F. Ciraulo, who represented the trust during the transaction, said in a statement.
