Woman Groped at Bus Stop in Hell's Kitchen, NYPD Says

HELL'S KITCHEN — A 55-year-old woman fought off a man who groped her as she was waiting for a bus in Hell's Kitchen, police said Thursday.

The victim was standing on Ninth Avenue near West 46th Street about 8:15 p.m. on May 19, when the suspect approached her from behind and touched her, the NYPD said. The woman fended off her attacker, and the man fled.

No injuries were reported.

Police released a surveillance image of the suspect Thursday, who was described as a man in his 20s and, in the surveillance image, appears to be wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
