MOTT HAVEN—A 21-year-old man was shot and killed at the corner of East 139th Street and Brook Avenue early this morning.
The man, Ivan Martinez, who neighbors say went by the nickname "Born," was shot once in the head at 3:25 a.m. following a fight with a couple of other men.
Neighbors say police pursued the other men up Brook Avenue but lost them around 142 Street.
The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
