BRONX — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in the back on the corner of West Burnside and Andrews avenues in The Bronx Friday night, police said.
Dayson Sumpter, a Bronx resident, was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
No arrests had been made as of Monday morning, and the homicide remained under investigation.
