Cops Seize Cache of Drugs and Guns in Bed-Stuy Bust

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Two men were arrested in a drug raid Friday morning after a month-long investigation led authorities to the operation, police said.

David Etienne, 27, and Brian Johnson, 25, were caught runningr a drug-dealing business out of their first-floor apartment on Clifton Place in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, police said. Investigators had launched an investigation earlier this month after learning of drug sales inside the building, they said.

The Brooklyn North Gang Squad along with Officer Daniel Panchyn made a surprise visit to the apartment at 9:30 a.m. on May 24 and seized a variety of illegal drugs and three firearms including a .38 caliber revolver, a 9mm semi-automatic and a .22 caliber assault rifle, police said.

The search also turned up 391 envelopes of heroin, one large bag of heroin of an undetermined quantity, 20 packets of crack-cocaine and 31 bags of cocaine.

Etienne and Johnson were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
