BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A 2-year-old child was thrown from a stroller during an attempted robbery in Bed-Stuy Friday afternoon, cops said.

Police said the suspect approached a 25-year-old mother while she was out with her baby at Dekalb and Tompkins avenues just after noon. The suspected tried to grab the woman's bag from the stroller's handles, police said.

Cops said the woman tried to fight off the suspect and the baby fell out of the carriage during the struggle.

Witnesses who rushed to the scene in the aftermath of the robbery said they saw the stroller flipped over and the baby face-down on the ground.

The tot was taken to Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn with abrasions to the nose and arms, police said. The child was in stable condition.

No arrests had been made as of mid-afternoon Friday.
