BROOKLYN — A 50-year-old man was struck by a train as it pulled into the elevated Avenue J station in Midwood Wednesday morning, the FDNY said.

The straphanger, whose identity was not immediately released, was struck about 10:31 a.m. on the platform of the station near East 16th Street, according to the FDNY.

The man suffered head trauma but remained conscious as he was rushed to Kings County Hospital, fire said. His condition was unclear.

The incident temporarily disrupted train service in the area, according to the MTA's website.

Manhattan-bound Q trains were rerouted onto the N line between Stillwell Avenue and DeKalb Avenue, the MTA said.

The B train, which also runs through the station, was suspended in both directions between Prospect Park and Kings Highway

Commuters were advised to allow additional travel time.
