CHELSEA — This speakeasy is anything but underground.

Beginning in March, the semi-professional trespassers behind the Wanderlust Project ran a secret speakeasy inside a Chelsea water tower, called The Night Heron, ushering at least 700 people into the clandestine bar over the course of six weeks, The Atlantic reported.

To get in to the bar — which included climbing a 20-foot ladder — partygoers reportedly had to present a pocket watch that acted as a their ticket before discretely working their way through a series of obstacles into the water tower’s belly.

Once inside the undisclosed location, they were rewarded with live performances, as well as cocktails.

Photo and video taking were banned during the event, but the organizers did release a video of the experience.

The tower is reportedly now sealed.
