NEW YORK CITY — A 73-year-old man crossing Atlantic Avenue in Queens was struck and killed by a Toyota Thursday evening, cops said.
Rafael Diaz was walking between 87th and 88th streets in Woodhaven just before 7:30 p.m. when the westbound vehicle blasted into him, according to the NYPD.
Diaz was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he later died, police said.
The driver, a 25-year-old man, remained at the scene, but investigators were still reviewing the crash Friday morning, cops said.
