NEW YORK CITY — A Bronx man surrendered to cops Tuesday after he snatched $500 from a 3-year-old's hands who had pickpocketed the dough from his own mom inside a Longwood liquor store, police said.

Warren Hayes, 44, of Williamsbridge, The Bronx, was expected to be charged with grand larceny after he fled the liquor store at 1045 E. 163rd St. with the wad of cash about 10:50 a.m. May 3, according to the NYPD.

The toddler had taken the cash out of his mother's jacket pocket while she was distracted inside the store, police said.

Hayes spotted the tot and took the bills from his hand before running off, cops said.

There were no injuries reported in the incident.
