NEW YORK CITY — The body of a woman recovered from the shoreline of the Hudson River on Wednesday afternoon has been identified as a College of New Jersey student who was reported missing last month, authorities said.

The NYPD Harbor Patrol removed Paige Aiello's body from the water at 158th Street and the Hudson River, about 20 blocks south of the George Washington Bridge, officials said.

Aiello's body was taken to the New York City Medical Examiner's office Thursday, where her identity was confirmed through dental records. The 22-year-old student was reported missing on April 10 when her cell phone and wallet were found on the bridge.

Aiello's family posted a message confirming the news to the "Find Paige Aiello" Facebook page on Thursday afternoon.
