CARROLL GARDENS — A baby-faced thief in an Adidas jacket snatched a 51-year-old woman's purse on a tree-lined Carroll Gardens street last month only to drop it right after and flee with nothing, cops said.

The suspect grabbed her bag near 10 Second Pl., near Henry Street, about noon on April 17, but dropped it a short while later in his haste and fled empty-handed, according to the NYPD.

The victim did not appear to have been injured.

The suspect was wearing a dark-blue hooded Adidas jacket, a dark colored baseball cap, dark jeans and carrying a dark blue backpack, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
