MIDTOWN EAST — Authorities were investigating a suspicious package on a 6 train at Grand Central Station Monday morning, causing rush-hour delays at one of the busiest stations of the system, MTA officials said.

The investigation was cleared and southbound and northbound 4, 5 and 6 trains have resumed normal service, officials said.

The package was found on the southbound train about 9:00 a.m., officials say.
