EAST VILLAGE — A man was arrested for sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl in the East Village last month, police said.
Rene Otero, 52, of Albany, N.Y., was taken into custody Sunday night on charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Otero approached the girl on April 14 and touched her buttocks, the NYPD said.
The crime occurred within the 9th Precinct, which encompasses the area from East Houston Street to East 14th Street from Broadway to the East River.
