BROOKLYN — F train service was partially halted Tuesday afternoon as cops investigated a suspicious package near a Gravesend subway stop, an MTA spokeswoman said.

Cops asked the MTA to suspend service between the Kings Highway and Stillwell Avenue stops at 4:38 p.m. so they could investigate a suspicious package at street level near the Avenue X and McDonald Avenue stop, the spokeswoman said.

The NYPD had no further details.

Service resumed with residual delays just after 6 p.m.
