MIDTOWN — Pre-game hotspot Mustang Sally's on Seventh Avenue was shut down by the Department of Health earlier this week for a host of alleged violations, including "evidence of mice" and "live roaches," the department's website shows.

The restaurant, a popular Midtown destination for crowds headed to Madison Square Garden three blocks north, racked up 40 violation points. The health department's findings, which were revealed Tuesday, mark the seventh straight year that inspectors found roaches or mice at Mustang Sally's.

Mustang Sally's remained closed Wednesday, but reopened Thursday, an employee there said. He declined to elaborate, referring questions to the restaurant's manager, who could not be immediately reached for comment.

A judge will determine the amount Mustang Sally's will have to pay in fines, a health department spokesman said.
