HELL'S KITCHEN — Emergency crews rushed to a Hell's Kitchen construction site across from the Javits Center after getting a call that a worker fell into a hole there Wednesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

The man was deep in a tunnel under a site on the north side of Eleventh Avenue and West 34th Street when he tripped over a large piece of equipment and hurt his leg about 11:40 a.m., according to another worker there.

Responders were still on scene tending to the victim at 11:40 a.m., about an hour after the accident, the FDNY spokesman said.

He was not immediately taken to a hospital, and his condition was unclear.
