NEW YORK CITY — A woman with a history of domestic violence was arraigned Thursday on manslaughter charges for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death in an argument, the Queens District Attorney's office said.

Shirley Forbes, 63, faces up to 25 years in prison after being charged with first-degree manslaughter, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated criminal contempt in the death of Lee Burrison in her Richmond Hill apartment.

Burrison, 55, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center after he was found lying face-up inside 87-37 112th St. about 10:44 p.m. Tuesday with a stab wound to his chest, according to the NYPD.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

Forbes was taken into custody at the scene and charged with his death the next day, cops said.

Cops said they had been called at least four times for domestic disputes between Burrison and Forbes.

Forbes was usually the aggressor, according to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, who added that she had once slashed Burrison with a razor, the Daily News reported.
