NEW YORK CITY — A man walked into a dowtown hotel and left a loaded handgun on a lobby chair, police said.

The man entered the Club Quarters Hotel at 144 Washington St. about 2 p.m. on Sunday, dumped the weapon, and left, according to the NYPD.

A police spokeswoman said his actions did not appear accidental and that he intentionally placed the handgun on the chair.

There were no injuries reported and cops said they are still looking for the man caught on camera dumping the weapon.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
