TRIBECA — They call it "Mellow Yellow."

That's the name of the 9-foot, bright yellow sculpture soon-to-be displayed in TriBeCa Park.

"It's about balance, fun, mystery," artist Cheryl Farber Smith told members of Community Board 1's TriBeCa committee last week. "It will add light to the park."

The aluminum artwork will be placed in the small park at Beach St., and W. Broadway in May, and remain through October.

Farber's geometrical, whimsical sculpture installations have been in displayed in several public spaces throughout New York, including downtown Brooklyn's Columbus Park.
