NEW YORK CITY — A man sexually assaulted a 28-year-old woman at gunpoint after trying to rob her while she was walking her dog in Kips Bay Saturday, cops said.

The suspect brandished his black firearm and demanded the cellphone and money of the victim on East 27th Street about 2 a.m., but when she said she didn't have either item with her, he sexually assaulted her and fled, according to the NYPD.

The victim was not injured in the attack, cops said.

The suspect, who cops described as bald and about 6-feet-tall, was last spotted wearing a dark hoodie with a bubble vest.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
