GREENPOINT — Just in time for summer weather, Greenpoint sunbathers have one more spot to bask — on top of the East River.
The pier at Transmitter Park opened to the public this week, the Open Space Alliance's new executive director Ed Janoff announced.
The concrete pier's completion came eight months after its neighboring green space opened between Greenpoint Avenue and Kent Street. The pier offers views of the Midtown Manhattan skyline and can be used for fishing, the Parks Department said.
