FORT GREENE — Photographer, videographer, and artist Lorna Simpson recently put her three-family townhouse on the market for $3,129,000, The Real Deal reports.

Simpson shares the Vanderbilt Avenue home with her photographer husband, James Casebere and their daughter, Zora. The couple bought the 5,500 square-foot building in 2007 for $1,650,000.

Simpson, born in Brooklyn, has shown her photographs and artwork at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Museum, and Guggenheim Museum. She is known for large-scale works that "confront and challenge narrow, conventional views of gender, identity, culture, history and memory," according to her website.

She was the first Afircan American artist to show work in the famous international art exhibition, Venice Biennale.

The house boasts six bedrooms, two wood burning fireplaces, a shared roof deck and is four short blocks to Fort Greene Park, according to Street Easy.

Simpson's studio, designed by famed architect David Adjaye, is next door to the newly up for grabs townhouse.

An open house is planned for April 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 206 Vanderbilt.
