BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A fire trapped four people in the basement of a Bedford-Stuyvesant home early Friday, an FDNY spokesman.

All were hurt in the blaze, one seriously.

The blaze, started at 5:45 a.m. and quickly engulfed the basement of 823 Madison St., the fire official said.

The victims were taken to Woodhull Medical Center.

About three miles away and 45 minutes earlier, another fire tore through 385 E. 56th St. in East Flatbush and injured one person who was taken to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and treated for minor injuries, fire said.
