DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A new fixture in Downtown Brooklyn's rising skyline is planning a 2013 opening, and has opened a lottery for cut-price units.
66 Rockwell Place is accepting applications for affordable housing units in the 457-foot tall skyscraper previously known as 29 Flatbush Ave., according to developer The Dermot Company.
The project set aside 63 low-income units with monthly rental rates ranging from $546 to $907. Applicants will be entered into a lottery, with preference given to New York City residents.
The residential tower's amenities include a health club, lounge, laundry room, business center and two roof decks, according to Brownstoner. There will also be a 200-car parking garage and 7,600 square feet of retail space.
Construction is expected to wrap up by summer.
