PRINCE'S BAY — A woman and two young children riding in a minivan were injured Wednesday when the vehicle slammed into a tree on Foster Road, according to the FDNY.

The minivan crashed into the tree at the intersection of Rensselaer Avenue about 11 a.m., fire officials said.

The victims were rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North. Their conditions were not considered life-threatening, officials said.

The FDNY did not have the ages of the victims, but the Staten Island Advance reported that the woman was 35 years old and the mother of the children, who were 18 months old and 5-years-old.

Police did not suspect any criminality in the crash.
