FLATBUSH — A 28-year-old man was killed in a midday shooting within a Flatbush apartment building Tuesday morning, according to the NYPD.
The victim, identified by police as Nestor Farrell, was shot on the sixth floor of 490 E. 23rd St., near Foster Avenue, at 11:16 a.m., said witnesses and an FDNY spokesman.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was unclear what sparked the morning's violence.
Justin Sarkodie, 21, was arrested Wednesday and charged with the murder and criminal posession of a firearm, police said.
