CAMBRIA HEIGHTS — A man died Monday night after slamming his SUV slammed into a tree in Queens as snow blanketed the city, cops said.
The man, whose identity was not immediately released, was driving at 2007 Nissan Murano east Francis Lewis Boulevard about 7:15 p.m. when he lost control and ran into a tree near 226-06 Francis Lewis Blvd., according to the NYPD.
He was taken to Franklin Hospital, in Valley Stream, LI, where he was pronounced dead, cops said.
Though the accident is still under investigation, a police spokesman said it appears to be weather related.
The 27-year-old driver was the only person in the SUV and no other injuries were reported, the spokesman said.
