Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car Near Bronx Botanical Garden

NORWOOD — A woman was hit and killed by a car near the Bronx Botanical Garden on Sunday afternoon, NYPD said.

The victim, Sook-Ja Kim, 63, was hit by a 1997 Honda driven by a 22-year-old man, near Mosholu Parkway and Bainbridge Avenue, at 3.45 p.m.,  police said.

Police found the victim unconscious and she was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital, police said.

The car was traveling southbound on Mosholu Parkway when it struck the victim, NYPD said.

There had been no arrests made by Monday morning, police said.
