WESTERLEIGH —  A man suspected of trying to hold up a Staten Island bank was being hunted by police Wednesday.

Police said that the man entered the Richmond County Savings Bank Branch at 832 Jewett Ave. about 9:35 a.m. on March 8. The man allegedly handed the teller a note demanding cash, the NYPD said.

The teller did not hand over any money and the suspect fled the bank, heading north on Jewett Avenue.
