WEST FARMS — Police were hunting a man accused of slashing a Bronx cabbie’s right hand during a robbery.

The suspect requested to be dropped off at 181st Street and Hughes Avenue March 7 at 4:40 a.m. But when the livery driver stopped at that intersection, the passenger slashed the victim’s right hand with a knife and demanded money before fleeing with cash, police said.

The driver was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
