Suspects Robbed Upper East Side Bank, Police Say

UPPER EAST SIDE — Cops are looking for two men accused of robbing the NorthEast Community Bank at 1751 Second Ave. last month, police said.

The men entered the bank at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 26, went to two different teller windows and passed notes to the employees demanding cash, police said.

The men then fled in different directions "with an unknown amount of money," the NYPD said.

Nobody was hurt.

Police described the the first suspect as 5-foot-11 to 6 feet tall, last seen wearing a gray Kangol hat, a gray scarf, a gray peacoat, purple gloves and gold framed sunglasses.

Police described the second suspect as 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, with a mustache. He was last seen wearing a brown leather jacket with a Tommy Hilfiger logo on the back.
