WILLIAMSBURG — A man working underneath a minivan was pinned when it collapsed on top of him, FDNY officials and witnesses said.
The victim, in his 50s, was working under the vehicle in front of 24 Throop Ave. when the car jack failed and the minivan fell on him, according to emergency workers and witnesses.
There were cinderblocks near the wheels of the vehicle, a red Ford van, and cardboard underneath.
The man was taken to Woodhull Hospital, officials said.
